The machinery is hard at work around here. 1000's of bails of hay are sitting in the fields ,up our road when I went for my walk this morning. Long range forecast is nothing but sunshine. Great news for us here with haying a grain season upon us. How fortunate we are. My rain barrels are full and we had enough rain in June to get us through a dry spell. However I see on the Net that we are the fortunate ones.

Yes, it is lucky for us but the folks in Colorado are suffering,as are some places in the UK (from flooding).

We are truly blessed to live where we do. People all around us are having very hard times. Don't work to hard but have fun. Busy busy I am heading out to bale shortly. :) B
So glad that the hay is turning off well for you and your neighbors. Many farmers here are falling short by about half as much hay as last year. Hot and dry here with not much rain in site for the next 7 days anyway. It was 107 here today on my outdoor themometer in the shade.
We finally got some rain last night, but just south of us they had winds up to 78/mph and had much damage.
We had some rain Thursday night, not much. Not enough to ruin the laying hay, but some dampness. It was about 29C here yesterday ( 84F) and very windy, which made doing anything lovely.
